We are looking for someone who has experience with individuals who need behavioural support, medication administration and hygiene support.

I have a position available working with our 30 year old special needs daughter. The position is for Saturdays at 6:00pm to Monday morning at 9:00am. The position will include showering, personal hygiene, meal prep, community outings such as walks, shopping, the library, and other activities. She loves social interactions, being out and about in the community and generally just being busy. Our daughter has a speech delay, fine motor delay and requires assistance in all aspects of life. She is a very happy and social young lady. We are looking for a super energetic, lively young lady to join our team. Our daughter relates to people in her own age group as she is looking for a “girl friend” relationship. This person must be reliable, have their own car, have a current police check/vulnerable persons check. We are in Legacy in the SE and the position is available immediately.

We are looking for a female staff for Johanna for a few hours a day support, Mon-Sat, max. 20 hours per week. This could require some flexibility surrounding the schedule. Saturdays are not always required, but could be possible again on Johanna's needs. Johanna is a Type 1 diabetic, so you would need to possess skills pertaining to her diagnosis and management. Willing to learn is also considered if you do not possess this skill. Johanna's current needs are morning support from 10 am - 1pm, again this can be flexible, meal preparation, grocery shopping, companionship, transportation needs to an activity, healthy living support with walks or perhaps going to the gym or classes, support meeting peers, accessing her community in a meaningful way.

Overview: Reporting directly to our family the Community support worker Primary Job Responsibilities: o Accompanying our son to a variety of community activities that align with his interests and passions. o Provide support in the planning, organizing and implementation of weekly schedules. o Support in preparation to leave home: personal hygiene maintenance, dressing appropriately, medical supplies for diabetes. o Assistance in preparing meals and eating at appropriate times of the day. o Facilitating social connections and interactions with peers and friends. o Support in skill development to increase independence in daily life. Accountabilities: o Communication: Build strong and respectful relationships with our son and family, and any additional supports. Communicate in a professional manner and on a consistent basis. o Provide regular updates concerning success, challenges, or changes to support. o Maintain confidentiality. o Safety: Be aware of the individual’s physical, social, and recreational environments, and take action to minimize risks and maximize inclusion. o Documentation: maintain accurate time sheets and any other documentation as required by the family. Qualifications and Requirements: o Previous knowledge and experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. o High school diploma or higher. o A steadfast belief and commitment to inclusion, the right for all people to belong, participate and contribute to the community. o The ability to work independently in unstructured environments and to employ effective time management skills. o The ability to implement the strategies and recommendations decided upon by the family and other therapeutic professionals. o Coaching skills – knowledge of and ability to demonstrate and support the development of skills as they relate to emotional, physical, and social needs. o A driver’s licence and personal vehicle are an asset, but not necessary. o First Aid and CPR certification o Police Information Check complete with a vulnerable sector search. Hours: Monday-Friday, 7 am - 12 pm (flexible) We are seeking a compassionate and organized individual to join our family as a healthcare aide/ mother's helper. You will primarily be assisting my sister and her son, who both have severe ADHD, with staying on track with their daily lives. There may also be occasional assistance needed for my elderly mother and my brother. My sister is fully functional and can do everything on her own, just takes an inordinate amount of time to do things and needs help focusing, getting her son to school and staying on track with her own schedule. The hours can be flexible as they do not need full time care, but they struggle the most with mornings. The ideal candidate would be available Monday-Friday 7am -12, however this is flexible and maybe some of those days could be later shifts. As a busy psychologist, I am looking for someone who can be a supportive presence and help keep my family organized and on schedule. Responsibilities: - Provide constant reminders and encouragement for tasks such as showering, eating, and attending important events. - Assist with household tasks alongside my sister, including dishes, tidying up, and ensuring everyone is up and out the door on time. - Help with grocery shopping and other errands. - Accompany my nephew to school. - Assist my sister in completing steps required for my nephew's therapy regime. What: Personal Care Aide to help with 7 year old son with Cerebral Palsy. He is non verbal and can communicate using signs and AAC. He is very social, happy, and interactive. Looking for someone to assist him with Personal Care tasks prior to him going to school Monday to Friday mornings. Training will be provided however, preference will be given to candidates with experience/education in these fields. Once he's left for school the duties would include housekeeping tasks. My daughter is 31 years old, she has Prader Willi Syndrome which requires direct one on one support. Staff must be with in arms reach at all times. We are looking for a female staff with experience working with challenging behaviours. Must have own vehicle> Someone who is willing to engage with my daughter, play cards and board games, talk, laugh and have fun. We need someone who is strong and able to be in charge, stick to the rules and enforce restrictions to ensure safety. My daughter lives in the Edgemont area and most activities are in the NW/NE.

We're looking for someone who can be with my son who loves swimming! We'll meet up at an agreed place (either YMCA Seton or Southland Leisure Centre) and I will take care of changing him. He would benefit from assistance with simple household tasks, a daily exercise routine, and a range of activities inside and outside the home. Until recently, he lived independently and worked full-time. This is a job for a kind, patient, efficient caregiver who understands dementia, and sees the whole person. We can offer up to 17 hours per week to the right person.

We want someone to be a companion to a 50 year old lady. must have a car, first aide certificate and police check. Be able to drive her to doctor and dental appointments, take to movies, the Zoo, shopping, Prepare Supper.

Responsibilities: Babysitting at our home, including outdoor playtime (backyard fun, playgrounds, sledding, etc). Light housework and laundry. Meal prep. Experience with special needs kids is a must.
