Our son is high functioning with ASD. He is very smart and funny, but can also be inappropriate and difficult. We need someone to keep an eye on him and help manage his relationship with his sister who is younger (he can be hard on her).

Looking for an energetic support worker to work with our verbal son in our home. Duties included assistance with and promoting independence with activities of daily living/self-care skills, engaging in play and leisure activities, fostering social interactions and expanding verbal communication/conversation skills. Training and ongoing support with be provided by a BCBA ( Board Certified Behaviour Analyst specialized in Autism Therapy). There will be another caregiver or parent at home during the time you will be working for help when needed, and our son's meal preparation/ house cleaning). Desired qualifications/assets include: previous experience working with adults or adolescents with autism, PSW certification or previous PSW work experience, patience, outgoing personality, proficient in English ( Spoken and written). Start date and hours flexible.

I am a 33 year old female looking to hire a part time Personal Care Attendant. I have a disability called Muscular Dystrophy and use a wheelchair so need assistance with all activities of daily living. I require assistance with both overnight and daytime care. Tasks include assistance with personal care (using the washroom, grooming, dressing/undressing), meal preparation, tidying/light housekeeping, etc. Overnight care includes assistance repositioning in bed throughout the night. Worker may sleep overnight as long as able to hear and wake-up when called to provide assistance. Worker must be comfortable with dogs as I need assistance caring for my service dog (a very friendly non-allergenic, standard poodle!). Includes taking for short walks and providing food and water. No experience required as my care is not highly medical. Looking for someone who is dependable/reliable and willing to learn! I am very flexible with scheduling and have accommodated workers with other employment or students and scheduling within the availability. Located in the west end of Toronto, 5 mins from the closest subway station.

Student learning at grade 1-2 level and requires specific accommodations to achieve his learning. Candidates should have min 3 yrs instructional experience. Want female worker to help me take care of my daughter, I am flexible on schedule, most of the work is sitting with her and keeping an eye on her, keeping her spirits up. Involves light duties, helping with her occasional vomiting, ensuring she doesn't fall when walking, making simple food or getting her a drink. May continue past this week, but she has a recurring condition. Worker must not smoke pot, and not smoke cigarettes or vape in the house.

We are looking for occasional care by someone who lives close by for extra help. Heather my special needs sister-in-law lives with us occasionally. She is a lovely soul with a great sense of humour. She has a global developmental delay and considers herself a ‘kid’ although she is 30. Due to scoliosis and low tone she requires some help to bathe, wipe, dress & eat but is very capable. Tourette’s also makes some tasks hard but overall when it is a caregiver she is on her best behaviour as she LOVES new friends. Bailey is our 6 year old daughter. She is a regular kid and great with babysitters.
