J has strong communication and social skills with people he is comfortable with and loves to laugh. He enjoys bowling, golfing, going to the field house, playing disc golf. Also enjoys watching sports, plays crib, puzzling, and listening to music.

The person concerned has Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), uses a motorized wheelchair for mobility, and gives care providers verbal instructions. The job is 3 visits a week for 2 or 3 hours per visit (Wednesday, Friday & Saturday 8:30 am. start). Care services include bathroom routine, grooming, washing, dressing, positioning in bed/wheelchair, and some meal prep and feeding. The successful candidate will receive training on the use of assistive devices: overhead lift, power hospital bed, cough assist device, power wheelchair and care procedures and techniques. $19/hour plus 7% statutory holiday pay. Regular deductions include Employment Insurance and Canada Pension Plan. Income Tax deducted at employee request. Employees are covered by Worker’s Compensation. I'm looking for a almost full time caregiver for two boys. My oldest has a speech delay and my youngest is a cuddler. We are looking for someone that has their own transportation, make meals and snacks, some light house duties, have a vulnerable sector check and CPR/AED level C. We have a week long trial run with a special event happening during it and of course you'll be paid during that week.

I want someone to provide full care meals and give medication , bedtime routine and overnights if possible.

We need someone with experience working with teen boys with autism - they are sweet people but can be moody (may pinch or throw things around the house). Supervision includes offering after-school snacks and monitoring ipad use. The boys entertain themselves, but puzzles, colouring, and play dough are favourites.
