We are looking for a part time nanny to care for our son and daughter, ages 3 and 1, starting in mid-August. The ideal applicant would need to be very flexible in terms of scheduling, as my work schedule varies from week to week. This means that some weeks we will require childcare from Monday until Friday and other weeks we may only need 2-3 days. There would be a guarantee of at least 18 shifts within a 6 week period, however where these shifts would fall, would vary from week to week. My husband works Monday-Friday, regular hours, therefore no evenings or weekends are needed. The applicant will be provided with the days that are needed at least 6 weeks in advance. Hours would be 7:30-5:00.

Applicants should be mature, responsible, and possess excellent communication skills. They should also be comfortable enforcing the rules and limits that we have for our children, and be able to follow a loose daily schedule. Our son will be starting preschool in September, and the applicant would be responsible for bringing him to and from school (school is within walking distance). Some light housekeeping would be required, including laundry, washing dishes used during the day, emptying the dishwasher, vacuuming the main floor area if needed, tidying up at the end of the day, and making the kids breakfast and lunch.

Preference will be given to candidates who have their own vehicle and are willing to take the kids out to various activities from time to time.
