Gardening Jobs in Winnipeg

Looking for someone with a "green thumb" - an intuitive ability to make plants grow. The front and back lawns are somewhat patchy and uneven. Over the winter, I have been thinking about the possibility of enchaining the natural growing-ability of the site with low-maintenance flowers, such as lilies, that could hopefully take root and grow back year after year. In the front, a large tree was in front of the house, but the tree and stump have been removed, leaving somewhat of a void right in the middle. I wouldn't want to have an ostentatious fountain or anything, but I think the space in the center as well as around the edges could benefit from some naturally-growing beautiful plants. The back yard gets lots of sunlight on the north side, but the south side is noticeably colder and always in shade because of the south-side fence. The south part used to be used as a driveway, and so has some gravel and rock mixed into the soil, with little-to-no naturally-growing plants. The north side, however, has thick grass growing. So could you plant some seeds, or perhaps even grow some seedlings and plant those, or something like that? Maybe could you suggest some plant you like and that grows well in Winnipeg, or maybe one or two plants for sunny and shady areas? Anyway, the general idea would be to replace the standard "lawn" with low-maintenance aesthetically-pleasing flowers or other plants. Thanks!
